Override Dismissal Settings

The explicit dismissal feature for students allows for setting a single dismissal method that remains in effect for only the current day. This may be set by the classroom teacher, an administrator, or by a parent using the mobile app provided the option has been enabled by the administrator for the school.

• Students / List → letter of last name → right most column icon that appears as a check mark in a circle
• Student / List → letter of last name → Last Name → icon to the right of the title “Edit Student” that appears as a check mark in a circle
• Accounts / List → Classroom → next to last column icon that appears as a check mark in a circle
• Accounts / List → Classroom → Last Name → icon to the right of the title “Edit Student” that appears as a check mark in a circle

• Students / Participation → right most column icon that appears as a check mark in a circle
• Students / Participation → Last Name → icon to the right of the title “Edit Student” that appears as a check mark in a circle
• Students / Roster → next to last column icon that appears as a check mark in a circle
• Students / Roster → Last Name → icon to the right of the title “Edit Student” that appears as a check mark in a circle

• Normal Dismissal - student name will appear in classroom when carpool number is entered or any group student is assigned when the group is called provided the student is set to be included in the group for the current day of the week. This setting will allow multiple dismissal notices for a student to appear in the classroom

• Absent - student will not appear in classroom or any other list when any associated dismissal for the student is entered

• Left Early - student will not appear in classroom or any other list when any associated dismissal for the student is entered

• Carpool Only - student name will appear in classroom only when the carpool number is entered. Student will not appear when any groups are entered, including those groups to which the student is assigned an may be active for the current day

• Alternate Carpool - student name will appear in classroom only when the entered alternate carpool number is entered; designation in classroom will display Alt Carpool (number). Student will not appear when any groups are entered, including those groups to which the student is assigned an may be active for the current day

• Any specific group - student will appear in the classroom only when that group is called. This setting supersedes the daily assignment for the group, i.e., even if a student is not set to be included in the group for the current day, when the group is set explicitly the student will be called for that group for the current day

• All explicit settings reset each day at midnight.
• Setting any explicit value overrides the current value, i.e., marking a student as absent will clear any explicit settings or setting an explicit reason will restore the student to participating status
• All explicit student settings are shown to the administrator on the home page in the bottom right of the screen.
